FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How is Vedic Math different from Abacus ?

  • Vedic math originated from the Indian Vedas. Abacus is a method of learning originating from China.

  • Vedic math does not depend on any instrument and hence from day 1 of learning Vedic math a student can do calculations mentally.

  • Abacus on the other hand is instrument based and the child starts depending on the instrument from day one.

  • Complex calculations can be done with the lightning speed by understanding easy tricks whereas, in abacus it would take two to three years to reach the highest level  in order to do similar calculations.

  • Abacus deals with only four basic arithmetical operations like addition, subtraction multiplication and division, whereas Vedic Math goes much beyond these four arithmetical operations, and you can very easily also do square roots, cube roots and more.
